174K Contracting out prohibited
(1)
A term of any contract or agreement that purports to—
(a)
exclude, limit or modify the operation of this Act or of any provision of this
Act; or
(b)
require the payment or reimbursement by a person of all or part of any penalty that another has been ordered to pay under this Act, is void to the extent that it would otherwise have that effect.
(2)
A person commits an offence if the person requires or proposes that another agree to a term of a kind referred to in subsection (1).
Maximum penalty: $10 000.
