23T Security agent authorised to control crowds may be required to take part in psychological assessment or to undertake training

(1)

The Commissioner may, by notice in writing, require the holder of a security agents licence that authorises the licensee to perform the function of controlling crowds—

(a)

to take part, at the cost of the agent and within a specified period, in an approved psychological assessment; or

(b)

to complete a course of training approved by the Commissioner within a specified period and to provide the Commissioner with evidence that the course has been completed to a satisfactory standard as specified by the

Commissioner.

(2)

If a person fails to comply with a notice under subsection (1), the Commissioner may, by notice in writing, require the agent to make good the default.

(3)

If the agent fails to comply with the notice under subsection (2) within a time fixed by the notice (which may not be less than 28 days after service of the notice), the agent's licence is cancelled.

(4)

The Commissioner must notify the agent in writing of the cancellation of the agent's licence.

(5)

In this section—

holder of a licence includes the holder of a licence that has been suspended.
