23 Parliamentary scrutiny
If a notice is made under this Part, the Minister must, within 14 sitting days, cause the notice to be laid before both Houses of
Parliament.
If either House of Parliament passes a resolution disallowing the notice, the notice ceases to have effect.
A resolution is not effective for the purposes of subsection (2) unless passed pursuant to a notice of motion given within 14 sitting days (which need not fall within the same session of Parliament) after the day on which the notice was laid before the
House.
If a notice that revokes the whole or part of another notice is disallowed, the notice or part sought to be revoked revives.
If a notice is disallowed by resolution of either House, notice of the resolution must immediately be published in the
Gazette.
