43 State authorised officers

(1)

The Minister may appoint a suitably qualified person to be a State authorised officer.

(2)

An appointment under this section may be made subject to such conditions or limitations as the Minister thinks fit.

(3)

Without limiting subsection (2), the powers conferred on a State authorised officer under this or any other Act may be exercised in the whole of the State or such part or parts of the State as may be specified in the instrument of appointment.

(4)

A State authorised officer is subject to direction by the Chief

Public Health Officer.

(5)

The Minister may vary or revoke an appointment at any time.
