72 Children

(1)

If a requirement is imposed under this Part in relation to a child—

(a)

a parent or guardian of the child who is aware of the requirement must take such steps as are reasonably necessary and available to achieve compliance with the requirement; and

(b)

any requirement to serve any notice or other document will be satisfied if service is effected on a parent or guardian of the child.

(2)

The regulations may make other modifications to the operation of this Part in relation to its application to children (and those modifications will have effect according to their terms).

(3)

A person who fails to comply with subsection (1)(a) is guilty of an offence. Maximum penalty: Maximum penalty: $25 000.

(4)

In this section—

child means a person under 16 years of age;

parent includes a person in loco parentis.
