26 Person affected by lien or charge may pay money into court
(1)
In case of an action to enforce a lien the person against whose property such lien is sought to be enforced or any person interested in such property may by payment into court of the amount claimed in respect thereof relieve himself and the property from liability with regard to the lien or in respect of the costs of further proceedings.
(2)
In case of an action to enforce a charge the person against whom such charge is sought to be enforced may by payment into court of the amount claimed in respect thereof relieve himself of all further liability in respect of such charge or in respect of the costs of further proceedings.
