Administrative Arrangements Act 1990

In this Act, unless the contrary intention appears –

administrative instrument means any order, notice or instrument which determines the organisation of the executive government of the State and includes an order under section 4 of this Act or under section 11, 12 or 13 of the State Service Act 2000;

department means an organ of the executive government of the State, including, in particular – a Government department within the meaning of the State Service Act 2000; and a State authority;

enactment means – an Act; or any other instrument of a legislative character; or any provision of an Act or of an instrument referred to in paragraph (b);

Minister means a Minister of the Crown;

State authority has the same meaning as in the State Service Act 2000.
