Adoption Act 1988

There shall be an Adoption Information Service established within the Department and within each approved agency which shall –

advise persons with respect to the provisions of this Part; and make arrangements for the provision of counselling in relation to applications under this Part; and receive applications for information under this Part; and subject to and in accordance with this Part, facilitate the provision of information to a person whose name is entered in an Adoption Information Register maintained under section 90.
