Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2026

An Act for the appropriation of $9 104 688 000 out of the Public Account for the services of the Government for the financial year ending on 30 June 2027

This Act may be cited as the Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2026.

This Act commences on 1 July 2026, but if it does not receive the Royal Assent by that date this Act is taken to have commenced on 1 July 2026.

For the purposes of this Act –

Capital Services means – public works or property required for public purposes; or a loan authorised by law;

Operating Services means the ordinary annual services of the Government.

In respect of the financial year ending on 30 June 2027, the Treasurer may – issue the sum of $9 104 688 000 out of the Public Account; and apply that sum for the services of the Government.

The sum specified in subsection (1)(a) is appropriated.

The sum specified in section 4(1)(a) is to be applied for the purposes specified in Schedule 1 and detailed in the agency information in support of the estimates for the financial year ending on 30 June 2027.

This Act expires on 30 June 2028.
