67 Commissioner to pay for costs of certain medical examinations and tests
The Commissioner is liable for the costs of – an examination or test carried out on a person by a medical practitioner to whom a medical question in relation to the person is referred by the Commissioner under this Act; and any analysis required in relation to that examination or test.
If the Commissioner has determined under section 70 that a person who has a compensable disease is entitled to compensation under this Act, the Commissioner is liable for the costs of – one examination or test carried out on a person by a medical specialist in a calendar year; and any analysis required in relation to that examination or test.
The Commissioner is liable for the costs of – an examination or test that a person is required by a notice under section 55(1) to undergo; and any analysis required in relation to that examination or test.
