151 Who can require compliance audits
The Secretary may require a compliance audit to be performed in relation to any person at any time.
An accreditation authority, other than the Secretary, may require a compliance audit to be performed in relation to a person who is, or has been in the previous 7 years, a biosecurity certifier or biosecurity auditor at any time, but only if the accreditation authority is, or was, the responsible accreditation authority for the accreditation or appointment of the person.
An accreditation authority that requires a compliance audit to be performed is to give the audit target notice of the decision to require a compliance audit, unless the giving of notice would defeat the purpose of the audit.
A reference in this Division to the person who requires, or may require, a compliance audit is a reference to the person who requires, or who has power to require, the compliance audit under the power conferred by this section.
