Conveyancing Act 2004

In this section – conveyancer includes a conveyancer whose licence has been suspended.

A licence granted by the Director under this Act is valid for the period of 3 years commencing on the date on which the licence is granted.

A licence held by a person by virtue of holding deemed registration is valid for the period in respect of which the deemed registration is in force.

A licence ceases to be valid if – the conveyancer surrenders it to the Director; or it is suspended or cancelled in accordance with this Act or in accordance with an Act of another State or of a Territory; or the conveyancer dies; or the conveyancer ceases to be qualified to hold the licence.
