Conveyancing Act 2004

There are grounds for disciplinary action against a conveyancer if –

he or she has acted contrary to any provision of this Act; or he or she has contravened a condition of his or her licence; or his or her licence was obtained through fraud or by mistake; or he or she has contravened any rules of conduct prescribed in the regulations; or he or she has acted unlawfully, improperly, negligently or unfairly in the course of carrying on, or being employed or otherwise engaged in, the business of a conveyancer; or he or she has been found guilty of a prescribed offence; or he or she is ineligible to hold a licence as mentioned in section 5; or he or she has acted contrary to the Australian Consumer Law (Tasmania) Act 2010.
