34 Procedures on death of prisoner or detainee
In this regulation – senior next of kin means senior next of kin as defined in section 3 of the Coroners Act 1995.
Immediately after the death of any prisoner or detainee, the Director is to ensure that notice of the death is given to – a coroner; and if practicable, the senior next of kin of the prisoner or detainee.
