13 Handling of food in unsafe manner
A person must not handle food intended for sale in a manner that the person knows will render, or is likely to render, the food unsafe. In the case of – an individual, a fine not exceeding 1 000 penalty units or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years, or both; or a body corporate, a fine not exceeding 5 000 penalty units.
A person must not handle food intended for sale in a manner that the person ought reasonably to know is likely to render the food unsafe. In the case of – an individual, a fine not exceeding 750 penalty units; or a body corporate, a fine not exceeding 3 750 penalty units.
