26 Non-intimate forensic procedure on order of police officer
In this section,on parole means on release from prison on parole under the Corrections Act 1997.
A police officer may make an order authorising the carrying out of a non-intimate forensic procedure on a prescribed offender.
An order authorising the carrying out of a non-intimate forensic procedure – on a prescribed offender who is in prison or a secure mental health unit, within the meaning of the Mental Health Act 2013, may be made verbally; or on a prescribed offender who is on parole must be made in writing.
A written order must include the date and time when the order is made.
