37 Taking samples of hair
An authorised person is authorised to take a sample of hair from a person undergoing a forensic procedure by removing the root of the hair only if –
the authorised person takes only so much hair as he or she believes is necessary for analysis of the sample, or other examination of the hair, to be carried out; and each strand of hair is taken individually using the least painful technique known and available to the authorised person.
