Gas Industry Act 2019

The Governor, by order, may declare that the provisions of this Act, or the provisions of this Act specified in the order, do not have effect in respect of – a specified person or class of persons, or do not have effect to such extent as is specified; or specified gas infrastructure.

An order under subsection (1) – may specify the period during which the order is to remain in force; and may provide that its operation is subject to the terms and conditions specified in the order.

A person to whom an order under subsection (1) applies must comply with any terms and conditions to which the operation of the order is subject. In the case of – a body corporate, a fine not exceeding 500 penalty units; or a natural person, a fine not exceeding 25 penalty units.
