26 Notice taken to be summons
A notice issued under these rules of court, including a notice following an adjournment, requiring a defendant to appear at a specified time and place –
is taken to be a summons; and may include a warning to the defendant that, if he or she does not appear when required by the notice, a warrant may be issued for his or her arrest; and is to be served in the same manner as a summons unless otherwise provided in these rules.
