Local Government Act 1993

A person may make a written submission to a council in relation to a proposal by the council to obtain a certificate.

A submission may only be made under subsection (1) in relation to a proposal within 21 days after the publication of the notice in relation to the proposal in accordance with section 109C.

The general manager of a council that has published a notice in relation to a proposal in accordance with section 109C is to ensure that a document, summarising each submission made under subsection (1) in relation to the proposal, is prepared and copies of the document are made available – to persons attending the meeting, in relation to the proposal, that is held in accordance with section 109F; and for inspection, without charge, and for purchase, for a reasonable charge, at the offices of the council as soon as practicable after the day on which the document is prepared, for a period of at least 3 months from that day; and for viewing at a website of the council as soon as practicable after the day on which the document is prepared, for a period of at least 3 months from that day.
