Local Government Act 1993

A person named in any resolution of, or notice or other document issued by, a council as the owner of the land is taken to be the owner of the land for the purposes of this Act unless that person shows to the satisfaction of the general manager that he or she is not the owner.

Any resolution, notice or other document is not invalidated by reason only that – it names as owner of land a person who is not the owner of the land; or the name of a person has been altered or struck out and another name has been substituted.
