199A Director may require purchaser to provide information
In this section – mining product means a mineral in the form in which it is obtained under a licence or lease or in a form produced by the holder of the licence or lease or a person acting on behalf of the holder of the licence or lease.
The Director may, by notice in writing to a person who purchases, from the holder of a licence or lease, a mining product specified in the notice, require the person to submit to the Director a return specifying the nature, quantity, value and source of that mining product.
A return submitted to the Director under subsection (2) is to be accompanied by a statutory declaration as to its accuracy.
A person must not fail to comply with a requirement imposed on the person under subsection (2).100 penalty units.
