Poisons Act 1971

Where an inspector or police officer, in accordance with section 90, 90B or under a warrant issued under the Search Warrants Act 1997, seizes– a substance, being a raw narcotic, narcotic substance, prohibited substance, or substance to which section 36 applies; or a prohibited plant or part of such a plant, other than the seed of an alkaloid poppy– that substance, plant, or part of a plant is, by virtue of this subsection, forfeited to the Crown and shall be disposed of as the Minister directs.
