Public Health Act 1997

A council is to monitor the quality of water within its municipal area in accordance with any relevant guidelines.

The Director, by notice in writing, may require any Agency, public authority, regulated entity or person to monitor, in accordance with any relevant guidelines, the quality of water under its management or control.

Any Agency, public authority, regulated entity or person required to monitor the quality of water is to provide the Director with a report of its findings as the Director requires.
