31 Power of Public Trustee instead of appointing new trustee to elect to act as such
Where under any instrument or statute the Public Trustee is empowered to appoint a new trustee, he may, in lieu of making such appointment, in writing, elect to act as such new trustee.
Any such election as aforesaid shall have the same effect and operate in the same manner as if the Public Trustee had been appointed the sole trustee by some other person acting under the authority of the empowering instrument or statute.
