28 Retail lease costs
Subject to this Act – a tenant is not liable to pay an amount to the landlord for legal or other expenses incurred by the landlord in connection with the preparation of a retail lease; and each party to a proposed retail lease is liable for his, her or its own costs incurred in connection with the preparation of the lease.
Despite subsection (1), a landlord may charge the tenant the cost of any alterations that the tenant has requested to be made to the retail lease.
