85 Protection from liability
This section applies to a person who is or has been – the Director; or a delegate of the Director; or an authorised person; or a mediator; or a valuer, including a specialist retail valuer.
A person referred to in subsection (1) is not civilly or criminally liable for an act done or omitted to be done by the person in good faith in the exercise or purported exercise of a power, or in the performance of a function, under this Act.
Subsection (2) does not affect any liability that the State would, apart from that subsection, have for an act or omission.
