Where the Commission is directed to undertake an integrated assessment of a project of State significance, it must, within 14 days of commencing that assessment, notify the council of a municipality in which the project is located and each agency which in the Commission's opinion has an interest in the project that an integrated assessment is being undertaken by it in respect of the project.

Where the council of a municipality or an agency is notified under subsection (1), it may, within 28 days after receipt of the notification or within such longer period as the Commission may allow, give to the Commission submissions setting out its views in relation to the project of State significance.
