37 Sending of memoranda, &c., of orders to other States, &c.
In this section – corresponding officer means a person in another State or a Territory who has functions in relation to the registration of births that correspond to those of the registrar.
If the registrar – has received under section 33 a copy of a parentage order, or of an order discharging a parentage order, in relation to a child; and has reason to believe the birth of the child is registered in another State or a Territory – the registrar must cause a memorandum, certified to contain a true copy of the order, to be sent to the corresponding officer of that State or Territory.
