Tasmanian Assessment, Standards and Certification Act 2003

The Secretary of the Department may establish such committees as he or she considers appropriate to advise him or her in relation to the undertaking, performance and exercise of his or her responsibilities, functions and powers under this Act.

A committee consists of such persons as the Secretary of the Department appoints after consulting with all organisations that represent all, or any group of, registered schools.

The Secretary of the Department may be a member of a committee.

A member of a committee holds office as a member for the term, and on the conditions, specified in his or her instrument of appointment.

The Secretary of the Department may abolish a committee at any time.
