7 Qualifications of Valuer-General, &c.

A person may not be appointed as the Valuer-General or a Deputy Valuer-General under section 5 or 6 unless he or she is qualified to carry on business as a land valuer under section 4 of the Land Valuers Act 2001.

A person may not describe himself or herself as, or in any way hold himself or herself out as being, a land valuer for the purposes of this Act unless he or she is qualified to carry on business as a land valuer under section 4 of the Land Valuers Act 2001. Fine not exceeding 200 penalty units and a further penalty of a fine not exceeding 5 penalty units for each day during which the offence continues after conviction.
