Emergency situations

In force

These regulations do not apply in an emergency situation where –

a vehicle or combination is used or towed, or is intended to be used or towed – to protect life or property; or to restore communication; or to restore the supply of energy or water; and reasonable steps are taken to ensure that the vehicle or combination will not impose a safety risk or damage road infrastructure.
