Water Management Act 1999

The Minister may, by order, declare that a well works permit is not required for well works or a class of well works specified in the order.

The order is a statutory rule.

For the purposes of subsection (1), and without limiting the Minister's discretion, well works may be classified by reference to any or any combination of the following criteria:their purpose; their location; the amount of groundwater to be taken; their scale, design or method or time of construction; their undertaker.
