Water Management Act 1999

On a revocation of approval under section 186 – the notice published in the Gazette may provide for the substitution of the Minister or any suitable water entity as the authority to administer the water district but without otherwise affecting the administration of the district; and the notice may authorise the new water entity to maintain and manage the works of the former water entity relating to the administration of the water district.

For the purposes of subsection (1), the application of section 47(4) and (5) extends to the water entity in respect of its property, functions, powers and obligations arising from its administration of the relevant water district and any legal proceedings, documents and contracts relating to that administration.
