258 Effective period of demerit points
Demerit points remain in force for a period prescribed by the regulations and take effect on the date of commission of the offence in respect of which they are allocated.
For the purposes of this Part, an offence is taken to have been committed on the date on which the act or conduct constituting the offence occurred.
