Timber production
56 Timber production
The use of an area of land greater than 40 hectares in size for timber production is a high impact activity if—
a permit is required under a planning scheme to use the land for timber production; and
the use of the land for timber production would result in significant ground disturbance.
The construction of a building associated with timber production is a high impact activity if—
a permit is required under a planning scheme to construct the building; and
the construction of the building would result in significant ground disturbance.
In this regulation, timber production has the same meaning as in the VPP.
Note
A permit may not be required under a planning scheme to use an activity area for timber production if the timber production is ancillary to a particular agricultural enterprise (such as agroforestry).
