43A Building surveyor's information statement
For the purposes of section 17A(1) of the Act, the prescribed class of building is—
a Class 1a building; or
a Class 10 building that is appurtenant to a Class 1a building.
For the purposes of section 17A(2)(a) of the Act, the prescribed form is Form 26.
For the purposes of section 17A(2)(b) of the Act, the prescribed manner is—
if the owner has provided an email address for the purposes of receiving correspondence from the relevant building surveyor—by email to that email address; or
if the owner has provided another kind of electronic address for the purposes of receiving correspondence from the relevant building surveyor—by electronic communication to that electronic address; or
Examples
An electronic address may be supported by any information system through which the owner may receive electronic communication, including a messaging platform (including a mobile application) or a case management system.
by post addressed to the owner at the owner's usual or last known place of residence or business; or
by delivering the document to the owner.
For the purposes of section 17A(2)(c) of the Act, the prescribed information is the information set out in Form 26.
