17 Duty of bus safety worker
(1)
A bus safety worker must take reasonable measures to ensure the safety of persons who may be affected by the acts or omissions of the bus safety worker.
- In the case of a natural person, 1800 penalty units;
In the case of a body corporate, 9000 penalty units.
(2)
An offence against subsection (1) is an indictable offence.
Note to s. 17(2) amended by No. 68/2009 s. 97(Sch. item 14.8).
Note
However, the offence may be heard and determined summarily (see section 28 of the Criminal Procedure Act 2009).
