Purpose of accreditation

In force

The purpose of accreditation under this Part is to—

(a)

provide a method of establishing the identity of—

(i)

the operators of bus services; and

(ii)

the persons responsible for managing activities relating to the operation of bus services by those operators; and

(b)

enable bus service operators to be regulated for reasons of public safety; and

(c)

ensure that bus service operators meet prescribed safety standards.
