17 Applications for registration lodged before the change-over day

(1)
Despite section 7(3) of the 1962 Act, if an application under section 7(1) of that Act is lodged during the period beginning 2 weeks before the change-over day, the Director may refuse to accept the lodging of that application.
(2)
If the Director refuses to accept the lodging of an application, the Director must—
(a)
notify the applicant that the lodging of the application is not accepted; and
(b)
provide the applicant with details of how the applicant may apply for the registration of his or her business name on the National Business Names Register.
