55 Absence of licensee or manager
In this section, manager means a licensee appointed under section 51(2) to manage a place at which a conveyancing business is carried on.
This section applies if—
a licensee is to be absent from the place at which the licensee carries on the licensee's conveyancing business; or
a manager is to be absent from the place of business that he or she manages—
for a period greater than 7 days during which time the conveyancing business is to continue to operate from the place.
The licensee or the person who appointed the manager (as the case requires) must—
appoint in writing another licensee to manage the place of business during the period of absence; and
notify the Authority in writing of the period of the proposed absence and the name of the appointed manager.
