Coroners Act 2008

to require the reporting of certain deaths; and

to provide for coroners to investigate deaths and fires in specified circumstances; and

to contribute to the reduction of the number of preventable deaths and fires through the findings of the investigation of deaths and fires, and the making of recommendations, by coroners; and

to establish the Coroners Court of Victoria as a specialist inquisitorial court; and

to establish the Coronial Council of Victoria; and

to make consequential amendments to other Acts.
