7 Avoiding unnecessary duplication
It is the intention of Parliament that a coroner should liaise with other investigative authorities, official bodies or statutory officers—
(a)
to avoid unnecessary duplication of inquiries and investigations; and
(b)
to expedite the investigation of deaths and fires.
