A notice under section 45(1) of the Act of the State Coroner's intention to authorise an exhumation must be in Form 22.

An authorisation made by the State Coroner under section 46 of the Act for the exhumation of a body must be in Form 23.

Unless section 45(5) of the Act applies, a copy of the authorisation must be served on—

the senior next of kin;

if the body is in a public cemetery, the cemetery trust responsible for the public cemetery; and

if the body is in a place of interment that is not a public cemetery, the owner of the land where the place of interment is located.
