Notification of prisoner who is seriously ill

In force

If a prisoner is seriously ill, the Governor must—

(a)

notify one of the following persons—

(i)

the prisoner's next of kin (if known);

(ii)

the person nominated by the prisoner as the person to contact in an emergency; and

(b)

permit the person notified under paragraph (a) to visit the prisoner.
