506 Definitions

(1)

In this Part unless inconsistent with the context or subject-matter—

Board means the Parole Board under this Part;

child has the same meaning that it has in the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005;

prescribed means prescribed by this Part or the regulations thereunder;

Secretary means the Secretary to the Department of Justice;

term, in relation to imprisonment, includes the aggregate of two or more terms, whether cumulative or concurrent.

If under the Public Administration Act 2004 the name of the Department of Justice is changed, a reference in the definition of Secretary in subsection (1) to that Department must, from the date when the name is changed, be treated as a reference to the Department by its new name.
