16 Further matters to be taken into account—local major controlled operations
(1)
An authority to conduct a local major controlled operation may not be granted unless the chief officer is satisfied on reasonable grounds—
(a)
that a relevant offence has been, is being or is likely to be, committed; and
(b)
that the controlled operation will be conducted wholly in this jurisdiction; and
(c)
that the nature and extent of the suspected criminal activity are such as to justify the conduct of a controlled operation in this jurisdiction.
(2)
For the avoidance of doubt, the matters referred to in subsection (1) are in addition to the matters referred to in section 14.
