62 Offences relating to interference with rights
Except in accordance with this Act, a person must not—
require or force or attempt to require or force a resident to vacate his or her room; or
take or attempt to take possession of a room in which a resident resides.
- 20 penalty units.
Except in accordance with this Act, a person must not, for the purposes of causing a resident to abandon a room—
interfere with the proper use and enjoyment by the resident of the room; or
do any other act or thing intended or designed to cause the resident to abandon the room.

This section does not apply to a restriction or limitation to which section 58(2) or (2A) applies.
