(1)
At least 28 days before a source number (other than a source number issued to an authorised pet rehoming organisation) ceases to be in force, the Secretary must give written notice of that fact to the person or body to whom the number was issued.
(2)
A notice under subsection (1) must set out the day on which the source number ceases to be in force.
