(1)
A Council authorised officer may immediately destroy a dog if the officer reasonably believes that the dog is behaving in a manner or in circumstances that will result in imminent serious injury or death to a person or other animal.
(2)
Subsection (1) applies whether or not the dog is registered or the owner is identifiable.
(3)
Divisions 4 and 5 of this Part do not apply to a person acting in accordance with this section.
